Beijing Olympic Games Aussie Preview: Day 14

There will be a couple more gold medals awarded on Day 14 of the Beijing Games than originally planned, after the BMX semi-finals and finals were postponed from Thursday due to the rain.So it'll be take two in handing out the gold in the newest Olympic event, and take two for Aussies Jared Graves, Kamakazi, Tanya Bailey and Nicole Callisto trying to grab one (about 12.30pm).
There's also more cycling action as Dellys Starr flies the Aussie flag in the mountain bike women's cross country (from about 5pm).
Seven of the 22 gold medals for the day will be awarded in athletics and six in canoe/kayak, where Ken Wallace is one of the favourites for gold in the K1 1000 metres (about 5.30 pm).
At the Bird's Nest, we'll be watching Luke Adams, Adam Rutter and 20km bronze medallist Jared Tallent get the day off to a not-exactly-flying start with all the other competitors in the men's 50km walk (from 9.30am).
Steve Hooker is also through to the final of the pole vault (from about 9.55pm) while our 4 x 400 metre relay team - Dylan Grant, Clinton Hill, Joel Milburn, Mark Ormrod, John Steffensen and Sean Wroe – are in heat 1, round 1 (about 10.10pm).
At the diving, Mathew Helm and Matthew Mitcham will be looking to advance from the preliminary stage of the 10 metre platform (9pm) while Angie Derby, who had to defend her selection for the Olympics at the Court of Arbitration for Sport after a challenge by the Greeks, finally gets to compete in Modern Pentathlon (finishing about 10pm with the 3000 metre run).
